Clearlice finally ended our nightmare!! I spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on other treatments only to have it return. At one point, I was on the verge of a mental breakdown over the whole situation. I found Clearlice and the nightmare was over. It has been over a month and the lice have not returned. We have had breakout in our community from ball season and swim team so I continue to use the conditioner once every two weeks on my daughters hair just to be safe. Clearlice is a GOD SEND!! My daughter who has very thick curly hair got lice when she was 2 years old. I tried every OTC product there was…even tried a few home remedies (olive oil, mayonnaise) and NOTHING WORKED!! Trying to get the lice comb through her thick curly hair was a nightmare! Hi everyone. I wanted to share a quick story about a mother in Nebraska. Her daughter came home with head lice about a week prior to us speaking. Like almost everyone I speak to, she immediately went to the local pharmacy and bought an over the counter head lice shampoo (I won’t mention the name, but most of you have probably tried it).

Of course it did not work. So she found us online and purchased the one person head lice pack. I got a call from her a few days later ordering the family pack. I asked her why she needed more. She explained to me that the lice shampoo worked great on her daughter, but she found out a few days later that the whole family had contracted head lice.

I am happy to report that when I spoke with her about a week later, the entire family was head lice free.

Moore County Schools’ Nurse. She told us that they were having a problem with head lice going around the school. She explained that the parents “just could not get rid of the lice”. I read an interesting article today about how lice can be connected to the time period when people lost their body hair and started wearing clothing.

Three kinds of louse call Homo sapiens their home, but each occupies a different niche on the human body. The head louse, Pediculus humanus, lives in the forest of fine hairs on the scalp. Its cousin, the body louse, lives not on the skin but in clothes. And the exclusive territory of the pubic louse, Phthirus pubis, is the coarser hairs of the crotch.

Lice are intimately adapted to their hosts and cannot long survive away from the body’s blood and warmth. If their host evolves into two species, the lice will do likewise. So biologists have long been puzzled over the fact that the human head louse is a sister species to the chimpanzee louse, but the pubic louse is closely related to the gorilla louse….
