“Can I just tell you too, that using the clearlice spray on the comb works well for a quick hair check if you’re not able to do the full treatment right away. Just thought I’d throw in my 2 cents. Anyway, it is a great product! I used Rid shampoo at the onset because it was the only thing readily available. I had long hair down to the middle of my back and it was a struggle to get the comb through my hair without pulling my hair out or getting it tangled in my hair. Not to mention that I had to use almost a full bottle because of the length of my hair, and the smell of the harsh chemicals was enough to make me lightheaded and feel nauseated. Needless to say Rid didn’t work, even after cutting my hair. Lucky for me, I found your website and felt relief instantly after the first use. I’ve ordered another kit to have on hand just in case. I don’t ever want to have to purchase Rid again just because it is the only thing that is readily available at a drug store!!!”

Only head lice treatment that worked for me!!

“I have been suffering from head lice for over 6 months.  I kept getting rid of it, and it kept coming back.  I guess I really never got rid of it.  I could not tell, because the eggs were so tiny and they looked like flakes or dandruff.  I had tried Nix, Rid, and a few other brands from the store.  I ordered two different products online.  I was going insane.  The lice had actually taken over my life.  I went to bed scratching and itching.  I was cleaning everyday.  I was vacuuming and washing stuff 2-3 times a day.  I found this website online and ordered the complete head lice kit.  I spent 3 hours spraying my house with the spray and vacuuming, and then washed all of my sheets and bedding and clothes in the Clearlice detergent.  I did two, 15-minute shampoos and then conditioned for about 5 minutes.  I did do some combing to remove some eggs that were glued to my hair.  I went to bed and had my husband check my head the next day.  He could not see anything.  We have been checking it now for 5 days and still nothing.  So far so good.  I feel like I got my life back.  I am still checking everyday, but I know that they are gone, because my head does not itch any more and I don’t see anything.”

Hi everyone. I wanted to share a quick story about a mother in Nebraska. Her daughter came home with head lice about a week prior to us speaking. Like almost everyone I speak to, she immediately went to the local pharmacy and bought an over the counter head lice shampoo (I won’t mention the name, but most of you have probably tried it).

Of course it did not work. So she found us online and purchased the one person head lice pack. I got a call from her a few days later ordering the family pack. I asked her why she needed more. She explained to me that the lice shampoo worked great on her daughter, but she found out a few days later that the whole family had contracted head lice.

I am happy to report that when I spoke with her about a week later, the entire family was head lice free.

Just before school ended we received an email from Shea Logan, R.N.
Moore County Schools’ Nurse. She told us that they were having a problem with head lice going around the school. She explained that the parents “just could not get rid of the lice”. They were trying everything and the lice would never completely go away. We sent her out the Clearlice package to give to some of the parents.

I read an interesting article today about how lice can be connected to the time period when people lost their body hair and started wearing clothing.

Three kinds of louse call Homo sapiens their home, but each occupies a different niche on the human body. The head louse, Pediculus humanus, lives in the forest of fine hairs on the scalp. Its cousin, the body louse, lives not on the skin but in clothes. And the exclusive territory of the pubic louse, Phthirus pubis, is the coarser hairs of the crotch.

Lice are intimately adapted to their hosts and cannot long survive away from the body’s blood and warmth. If their host evolves into two species, the lice will do likewise. So biologists have long been puzzled over the fact that the human head louse is a sister species to the chimpanzee louse, but the pubic louse is closely related to the gorilla louse….
